Arrival in Kathmandu
Arrive at Kathmandu and transfer to your hotel. Orientation and briefing about the trek
Kathmandu: Orientation and Shopping
Prepare for the trek, finalize your permits and equipment. Take time to explore Kathmandu or relax.
Flight to Bhadrapur & Drive to Taplejung
In the morning, we’ll take a 45-50 minute flight from Kathmandu to Bhadrapur (Chandragadhi Airport). From there, we will drive via local jeep through Kanyam, passing tea plantations along the Mechi Highway towards Taplejung, where your Kanchenjunga Circuit Trek begins.
Taplejung to Sekathum
After breakfast, we will continue our journey by local jeep towards Sekathum, passing through Mitlung, Chirwa, Thapethok, Lelep, and other villages along the Tamor River. On the way, we will stop at the Kanchenjunga National Park entry point for permit checks before proceeding to Sekathum.
Sekathum to Amjilosa
We start our trek with breakfast at Sekathum. Our route follows the Ghunsa Khola, crossing multiple bridges, and passing through lush forests and small villages like Jonggim and Ghaiyabari, until we reach Amjilosa.
Amjilosa to Gyabla
Today’s trek takes us through dense forests, where we might be fortunate enough to spot red pandas. We ascend gradually and enjoy breathtaking mountain views, waterfalls, and natural scenery before reaching Gyabla (also known as Kyapra).
Gyabla to Ghunsa
Our trek continues through woodland, where we may encounter a variety of flora and fauna, leading us to the Phale village. From there, we reach Ghunsa, where many trekkers choose to acclimatize. However, we will reserve our acclimatization day for Khambachen.
Ghunsa to Khambachen
We begin the day with a gradual ascent through pine forests and have the opportunity to spot blue sheep and snow leopards along the way. The trail offers stunning views of Mt. Jannu, glacier valleys, and the surrounding mountains as we reach Khambachen village.
Acclimatization and Rest Day
Today, we take a rest day to allow our bodies to acclimatize to the altitude. We will take a short hike to nearby glaciers, viewpoints, and lakes to help with the adjustment. You will also have the chance to meet other trekkers traveling to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp.
Khambachen to Lhonak
Today’s trek leads us toward the Kanchenjunga Glacier. We will pass through the Ramdang area and the Ramdang Monastery, continuing along a challenging route to the Lhonak settlement, which is located near the junction of the Lhonak and Kanchenjunga glaciers.
Hike to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pang Pema)
We will hike to Kanchenjunga North Base Camp (Pang Pema), the highlight of the trek. The journey follows a gradual climb along moraines, and upon arrival at the base camp, you will be rewarded with views of the majestic Kanchenjunga. After spending time at the base camp, we return to Lhonak for the night.
Lhonak to Ghunsa
Retracing our steps, we head back to Ghunsa, reliving the memories of walking past stone huts, rugged landscapes, and enjoying the spectacular mountain views.
Trek to Sele Le Base Camp
We continue our trek to Sele Le Base Camp, passing through dense forests and isolated settlements. Depending on the weather, we may cut a day off the itinerary and proceed to Tseram, if conditions allow.
Trek from Sele Le Base Camp to Tseram
We trek across several high-altitude passes, including Sinion La, Mirgin La, and Sinelapche Bhanjyang, offering panoramic views of Mt. Jannu, Everest, Makalu, and Kanchenjunga. After a scenic descent, we reach Tseram for the night.
Trek from Tseram to Ramche and Hike to Oktang (Yalung South Base Camp Viewpoint, 4740m | 15551ft) and Return to Tseram
We begin the day with a hike through the Yalung Glacier and ascend toward Oktang, the viewpoint of Yalung Base Camp or Kanchenjunga South Base Camp. Enjoy views of Kanchenjunga’s three summits and other towering peaks before returning to Tseram.
Trek from Tseram to Tortong
Our descent takes us through rhododendron forests, following the Simbuwa Khola, with beautiful views of the Himalayas, leading us to Tortong for an overnight stay.
Trek from Tortong to Yamphudin
We continue our descent through the steep slopes of Lasiya and Dhupi Bhanjyang, reaching the village of Yamphudin. At the Kanchenjunga Conservation Area checkpost, our permits will be verified before proceeding.
Yamphudin to Kanyam
After breakfast, we explore the local landscapes and head to Kanyam, passing tea gardens and cardamom plantations along the way. Kanyam is known for its lush tea plantations, where we can unwind and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
Drive from Kanyam to Bhadrapur and Flight to Kathmandu
After breakfast, we will explore Kanyam’s tea gardens before driving to Bhadrapur for a 45-50 minute flight back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival, we will transfer you to your hotel and invite you to a farewell dinner with our team.
Departure from Kathmandu
Depending on your flight time, you can either rest or explore more of Kathmandu. Transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey.

Payment and Cancellation Policy

Deposit Requirement:
A 50% deposit of the total package cost is required at the time of booking to secure your reservation. Full payment details will be provided during the booking process.
Cancellation Policy:
- Cancellations made more than 60 days before the trek start date: A 30% fee will be deducted from your deposit to cover international banking fees and administrative charges.
- Cancellations made less than 60 days before the trek start date: 50% of the total package cost will be refunded.
- If the full package cost has already been paid, 70% of the deposit will be refunded. Refunds will be processed within 90 days of cancellation.
Refund Processing:
Refunds will be issued via the original payment method. Please note that depending on your bank’s processing times, it may take up to 90 days for the refund to appear in your account.
Force Majeure and Special Circumstances:
In cases of force majeure (such as natural disasters, political instability, or other unforeseen events), special terms may apply. Refunds in such cases will be handled on an individual basis.
